Drug-induced gingival hyperplasia is the increased growth of epithelium and submucosa which may cause bleeding loss teeth. Certain anticonvulsant, immunosuppressive, antihypertensive drugs are underlying in most cases. Among them, cases due to amlodipine very rare. Here, we discuss topic along with a case overgrowth induced by amlodipine. A 51-year-old female presented overgrowth. She was on because primary hypertension. had increasingly growing last few months. Her regimen changed cessation This study suggests that lead hyperplasia.

Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker. Because of its long acting effect it is being widely used as antihypertensive drug. Gingival hyperplasia is one of its side effects.
